The Department of Physiological Sciences in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Oklahoma State University (OSU) in Stillwater, OK is seeking an open rank Teaching faculty position (non-tenure) with an emphasis in comparative and clinical domestic animal anatomy instruction.

Applicants must have one of the following earned degrees: DVM or PhD, or equivalent degree. Those with a DVM or equivalent degree, and clinical training/experience are particularly encouraged to apply. In addition, the ideal candidate would have a demonstrated record of teaching in veterinary gross anatomy in either an academic or clinical setting. The successful applicant must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrated ability to work collegially and collaboratively with a diverse population of colleagues and students.

Instructional duties will primarily include participation in small and large animal anatomy courses for professional DVM students. Additional duties will depend on the interests and experience of the successful candidate and could include (but are not limited to) mentoring anatomy Teaching Associates, preparation of teaching materials, and participation in other professional program coursework as expertise warrants. The remainder of his/her appointment will be fulfilled through contribution to the CVM missions in research or service.

The Anatomy lab at OSU is equipped with current instructional technologies and the College has a new instructional building for didactic learning. Stillwater is a town of approximately 50,000 year-round residents where the positive attributes of a small town are combined with many amenities and opportunities usually found only in larger cities situated in beautiful countryside. Two uniquely different larger cities (OKC and Tulsa) are within an easy hour’s drive of Stillwater.
