Dr. Stromberg's research focuses on several aspects of helminth and protozoan parasitism as they relate to animal health. His research includes the epidemiology of ruminant parasitism, particularly the relationship of the life cycle of the parasite that takes place outside of the host. Dr. Stromberg also evaluated new anthelmintic compounds against ruminant helminths in an experimental or natural challenge situation. Anthelmintic resistance is anther area of interest. His research also concentrated on finding control measures that will control or prevent infection in Bovine coccidia and Eimeria bovisand Eimeria zuernii.
